This February holds a couple of significant events in my family. First, my grandpa turns 80! WooHoo! Second, this month is also my grandparents’ 40th anniversary! So congrats to them! We all love you both very much! So to celebrate we threw them a surprise party!

Today I had the great opportunity to photograph Jared and his mom Valerie. Valerie is a good friend of mine, so I was more than happy to shoot these (and to give her her very own blog post)… especially since Jared just turned 5!! Happy Birthday Jared!! It had been way too long since Val & I got to hang out, so we started off with lunch with the kids and some light conversation to catch up, then off to a location with some railroad tracks and old rail cars. Jared LOVES trains, so it was the perfect setting! Afterwards, we went to a park with a nice scenic overlook of the Susquehanna River. It rained off and on, but we were lucky enough to get some wonderful shots between the little sprinkles of rain…
